A cardiologist spends four years as an undergraduate, where they earn a Bachelor’s degree. The most common Bachelor’s degrees for those planning on medical school are biology or chemistry.

Following the completion of their Bachelor’s they enter medical school, which is a four year program. Upon graduation from medical school they will spend three years as an intern, receiving training in a hospital.
